With numerous guidelines for each facet of healthcare law, it’s common to question the difference between medical law and health law. Generally speaking, medical law refers to the rules and regulations related to actual medical activity, including the legal expectations for medical services, characteristics of medical providers, and the safety of drugs and other medical devices.
Health law
Health law, on the other hand, refers to the broad collection of regulations that dictate health administration, taxation, litigation, commercial contracts, security and privacy, and more. Even mergers and acquisitions between hospital chains can be considered health law. In other words, medical law alludes to a care service, whereas health law refers to the surrounding procedures.
